St George’s Cove

St George’s Cove is a sandy beach just 10 minutes down the South West Coast Path west from Padstow and is the closest beach to the town. It’s a low-tide beach hemming the estuary, with plenty of nooks and crannies for rock pooling and sunbathing. There are great views across the Camel estuary to the sands of rock beach opposite. The beach gets its name from St George’s Well, an ancient holy well/spring located in the lush vegetation that grows behind the beach.
